Shepard PTA Volunteer Opportunities

2009-2010

I hope you are all ready for another great year at Shepard Elementary! Volunteers play a vital role in the success of a school and the achievements of its students. We are fortunate at Shepard to have such a dedicated group of parents who are willing to devote much time and energy to the school. If you are a new volunteer, or one who is returning to help again, we are excited to have you. Involved parents help provide a rewarding learning environment for our children. Shepard PTA is looking forward to a fantastic year!

Please help us match your volunteer goals with our needs by reading this document carefully and considering all of the opportunities that are available to you.

Please remember that ALL volunteers in Plano ISD are required to complete a background check each year. The district pays for the background check and provides a list of eligible volunteers to each school campus. To complete the Plano ISD Online Volunteer Application, please go to: https://oea.pisd.edu/volunteer.  Please complete this process as soon as possible.  PISD employees as well as subs MUST also complete the background check to be cleared on the campus that they will be a volunteer.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to share your time and talents with the students and staff at Shepard.  We are looking forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Angela Krieger
